Valencia faces Barcelona at the Estadio Mestalla in an intriguing game from the 1/4-finals of the Copa del Rey. Stick with us and our Football accumulator tips and predictions.
This match comes very soon after the Barca’s 7-1 win against Valencia in La Liga. The Catalans made a terrific performance against Los Che, but the question is – can they repeat it now? And it’s a different competition as well – we have to acknowledge that.
We expect to see Barcelona’s manager Hansi Flick putting his best team on the pitch against Valencia. The German coach takes this competition seriously so don’t expect to see him experimenting too much. But some changes could be made. We expect to see Frenkie de Jong replacing Marc Casado in the line-up while Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres are options for the starting eleven as well. Fermin Lopez could start as well – the young midfielder is doing some very good things this season.
Valencia reacted to the loss against Barcelona with a 2-1 win against Celta Vigo at home. Luis Roja and Javi Guerra scored for Carlos Corberan’s team. Javi Guerra was man of the match as he made one assist as well.
Valencia will have a tough time against Barca – that’s for sure. It will be interesting to see how they will approach the game. During the 1-7 defeat, Corberan’s team didn’t play packed enough in defense and we all saw what the result was like. Now we expect to see Valencia more compact while defending – maybe much closer to their goal.
That’s the Football accumulator tips and predictions for the Copa del Rey clash between Valencia and Barcelona at the Mestalla. Which one of these two teams will progress in the competition? We shall wait and see. It’s going to be a good one!
